Santa Bear was a big hit yesterday. There were only about 6 kids at the party and it was split evenly between those that were afraid and those that wanted hugs. I was told that even the kids that were afraid later told mommy and daddy that the bear was cool. *smiles* Several pictures were taken, but I didn't like any of them. I thought this one was cute, however, because it looks like Nevada is devouring the poor little girl.

Today we had our division lunch at Macaroni Grill. *burp* OMG! I'm stuffed!

I also just opened an email from D.C. reminding us of our ethics when receiving gifts from outside entities. It also reminds us that consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited unless a waiver is granted. I find this highly amusing since I have heard that the alcohol flows like water at Xmas parties in our D.C. office. I also find it very insulting that we have to be reminded that there is a restriction of $20 as the maximum value of a gift we may receive from an outside entity, yet members of Congress are flown all over the world by corporations and such. That's o.k., but here we sweating the fact that someone had given our office a few smoked salmon that might be worth more than $20. We solved the dilemma by having everyone help in the disposal of the evidence. *burp*

That is a wonderful feeling. When I suited for halloween there were some kids that wouldn't hug me, but they followed me around and talked about the "silly fox" the whole time. Their parents said they were so happy I was there because there kid had such a good time, even though they were kind of afraid of me. That makes it all worth it.

*nods* I always feel bad whan a kid gets scared, but I know there have also been times that the kid cries because I am there and then cries more when he/she is taken away. I guess it's like watching a horror movie. You pay money to watch something that scares you and you don't want to watch.

A bear needs food to go with all of the sugary liquids he consumes.

Tis the season for "guerrilla fursuiting." Get a handler and head out to a place that attracts a lot of people. I have been even thinking about being a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, despite their sleazy politics.

We were joking before I got into suit about what my introduction should be. I said I should be introduced like "The Santa Clause." "Santa was delivering gifts to his animal friends at the North Pole and...well.....he was eaten by a polar bear. So now the bear has to deliver Santa's gifts for him."

Yipe! Evil bear! Not that I would care that he did that, as long I get warm fuzzy hugs. *mrrr...*

Y'know, the polar bear could be said to be helping Santa out. (If) any kids believe in Santa these days, and they see 100's of Santa all over the place, they'd probably wonder if there is a single Santa. A polar bear helper makes more sense. Not to mention, cuter. ;o)

*Tilts head* How did I not catch this post earlier on? Oh well. Hehe, that's great that the Santa bear made an appearance at the party, and that he was a hit with the kids. So cute. :)
