"The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" --- review

Kitty scored 4 free passes to an advance screening of the latest Wallace and Gromit flick, "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit". We invited furrysparkles and faelad along. It was a really great time! The theater was packed with kids, but it was a fairly well-behaved crowd. As for the movie, it was extremely furry! Transformations! Fursuits! Cheese! All that was missing was ranch dressing! There was a LOT of subtle humor put into every shot as well as a lot of adult references and references to other movies. It was fun picking out all of the little things such as a bookcase where Wallace hid cheese. Books on the shelf included "East of Edam" and "The Swiss Cheese Family Robinson." The license plate on their truck was "HOP2IT." The scene with the rabbit vacuum was one of the cutest and funniest I have seen in a long time. So in short...if you're a furry, go see this and laugh your tail off.

The one preview before the movie was for another animated furry flick coming out next year. It seems they are making a movie based on the "Over the Hedge" comic strip. It looks interesting! So that will be 2 animated flicks next year that deal with animals taking on human encroachment. The other being "Open Season."

They need to make a documentary about you....I would watch that...I bet I would laugh my ass off too.......and probably get aroused at some point in the movie ..

Ever seen Pom Poko? They even managed to get stuff right like making it widescreen and allowing you to choose subbed or dubbed! (Many things just offer dubbed, and I usually prefer subbed...)

Yup. I wrote up a review a week or so ago. I guess it has been around for a long time but is now getting a wide release since Disney bought the distribution rights, big balls and all!

Interesting. They finally got off their lazy asses and going to make a couple of more most likely talking animal movies. Well, I'am going to see Chicken Little as well, to see what that movie is like and yeah I did read the book when I was five. Still, if they could done a live-action movie with all talking animals and no humans, I think everything will be fine. :)

I am seeing the Movie right after the con this weekend I am going to.
Wanted to see it with a furry crowd but said I would see it with my brother instead.

Always loved Aardman stuff.
