Weekend Fun
Jul. 17th, 2017 11:22 amI'm starting to feel less guilty about not getting things done on the weekends. If there's some major chore that I have planned out, that's one thing. But to simply feel guilty because I'm not doing something productive on my Saturdays and Sundays, that's another. On Saturday I caught up with some tv shows that were on the DVR. On Sunday we decided to hit up the aquarium and botanic gardens since we now have our annual passes. It was a nice relaxing time! I suppose if I had to pay full price for either I would have been disappointed, but being able to just spend a few hours walking around and knowing we could come back any time we wanted for the same price, it made it seem very worthwhile. We then tried out a fairly new pan-Asian restaurant where we both got bento boxes. It seemed a little pricey, but when we both ended up taking leftovers home, it was definitely worth it. We then went home and watched "The Grapes of Wrath" which neither of us had ever seen all the way through. It was #21 on the AFI list of 100 best movies. I just checked the list and I have now seen 97 of those movies. All that remains are 3 old Charlie Chaplin silent films.
